Based on the definitions provided by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), one of the motivating factors that inspires individuals to travel is medical and wellness tourism. Accordingly, by traveling away from their usual place of residence, tourists can utilize the destination’s healthcare services to restore their physical and mental well-being—a concept commonly referred to as medical tourism or health tourism.

In line with this mission, and driven by its commitment to providing optimal and high-quality services to meet the needs of international patients, the Madar Specialized Hospital for Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Infertility in Yazd has established an International Patients Department (IPD). Through this department, expert specialists facilitate the delivery of healthcare services specifically in the field of infertility treatment.

This unit serves as the hospital’s primary direct-communication counter for foreign patients, managing the entire journey from the initial inquiry through receiving treatment and overseeing post-operative follow-up care. It is worth noting that, in accordance with the mission of the International Patients Department, all services provided to patients are delivered on a VIP basis.

Special Services of the International Patients Department:

• Patient Communication: Responding to inquiries via phone calls, website requests, email, and other channels.
• Inter-Departmental Coordination: Coordinating with the attending physician and all departments responsible for the patient’s care, including the obstetrics and gynecology inpatient wards, gynecological surgery, infertility department, IVF operating rooms, IVF laboratory, and more.
• Cost Estimation: Providing approximate treatment cost estimates and informing the patient or referring agency prior to travel.
• Agency Relations: Collaborating and interacting with patient-referring companies based on valid contracs
